LIVE RECAP:
The show opens with Sam telling the shifter killer good luck in prison. Luna is angry that they are being hunted. She says that they should get rid of those rednecks before they get rid of the shifters. Sam reassures her that he’s on this and is headed to the station right now. She rips off her IVs and just can’t sit there and do nothing. She shifts into Sam!
At the Authority headquarters, all of the vampires are relishing in seeing Lilith, except for Eric. He doesn’t get what just happened to all of them. Meanwhile, Sookie is at her house trying to expend all of her fairy light. She tells Jason that she wants to be normal and he says that the stuff that happens to her doesn’t happen to normal people. He tells her that her special power could help them.
At the hospital, Luna as Sam leaves her room in a hospital gown and nothing else. He creeps into someone else’s room and snatches up a guy’s clothes to wear.
At Fangtasia, Jessica is dancing when she gets hit on by a guy who tells her that his blood is like a milkshake. Meanwhile, all of the remaining Authority members are talking about meeting Lilith. Russell is praising Lilith, saying that he’s been born again. Salome tells Steve to procure them some humans and to get a baby for Nigel. Eric says that he’s had enough fun for one night and asks Bill if he’s coming. Bill doesn’t move from his spot.
At Alcide’s place, he is getting it on with Rikki and having some wild animal sex. So apparently he no longer has a thing for Sookie.
Salome has summoned Bill for a late night snack. She has a human tied up to her bed. He tells her that he will not be bullied. He tells her that he has fathered children and doesn’t want to take the woman away from her family. We flashback to Baton Rouge in 1910 and Bill visits his daughter. She asks him how he’s so young and she wants to be like him. She wants to live, but he can’t do it. He tells her that immortality is a curse, but she begs him over and over to make her vampire. Salome offers up the human again and Bill feeds from her.
Hoyt and the shifter haters go into a place where they have Jessica tied up in a corner. They want him to stake her. They tell Hoyt that it ain’t murder and that she’s already dead. They’re pushing Hoyt to kill Jessica. The one guy tells Hoyt that he’s going to lock the door and it ain’t opening until he finishes her.
At the fairy club, Sookie and Jason are talking to Claude about how their parents were murdered by a vampire. Claudette offers to help.
Lafayette is driving along when he finds Jesus’ nursing badge and first aid kit. He takes some vampire blood to heal where his lips were sewn together. Jesus appears to him in the passenger’s seat of the car. Lafayette asks if he’s real and Jesus says it doesn’t matter. Lafayette drives off.
Andy is at the sheriff’s office questioning the shooter. Andy threatens to send him to jail until the rapture. Sam offers up his techniques that will get them answers. Andy leaves the room “to get coffee” and says that it might be a while before he gets back. Sam turns into a snake to threaten the guy.
Luna as Sam goes to the sheriff’s office and explains how she’s him. She’s freaking out. Sam learned from the shooter that they’ve got Jessica Hamby and they have the address.
Sookie, Jason, Claude, Claudette and some other fairies are trying to look back into the past to find out what happened to their parents. They are at the location of the bridge where they were taken by the flood. Sookie sees the vampire climbing onto their parents’ car and attacking her father. Then, he attacks her mother and we get a brief glimpse of him. The vampire looks through the car for the source of the blood that he smelled — it’s on a bandaid. Claudine tried to save them and shocked the vampire with her fairy powers.
At the house with Jessica, Hoyt tells her that shooting her would not be murder. He chastises her for sleeping with Jason and breaking his heart. She tells him that she wanted to love him and that she prayed for it to come back, but it just didn’t. She says sorry as he puts the gun to her head. We hear a gunshot and the would-be killer comes in. Jessica attacks him from behind, but she can’t leave because it’s daytime.
At Arlene’s house, Lafayette is there and she and Holly tell him about the smoke monster thing with Terry. He tells them that Terry is off his meds and they want him to convince him that the smoke monster isn’t true. They want him to tell Terry that the ghost of the victim has forgiven him. He tells them that he’s not going to do it for free. Arlene offers $50 but he counter offers with $300.
At the house where Jessica is, Sam, Luna as Sam and Andy go to see her. They’re smelling the remnants of a human woman who was there.
Claude is miffed that Sookie made a connection with a vampire. Jason says that they need to make him pay for what he did. She flashes back to the scene with Claudine, who called the vampire by his name, Worlow.
Tara is tending bar at Fangtasia when she runs into an old school non-friend. She’s a total snob who calls Tara uppity. Tara tells her that she’s going to rip out her heart and eat it. Tara tells her off and Pam comes to the bar to tell the woman that her drink is on the house. The woman leaves after telling Tara that she has a four bedroom house and a BMW in the garage and to “enjoy” her “job.”
At the wolf pack, J.D. and Alcide are going head to head. J.D. tells the pack that they’re going to hunt a kid who’s a track star. Alcide forfeits to save the kid’s life, but J.D. says that to make it official, he’s going to hunt the kid anyways. He and Alcide start fighting.
At the Authority headquarters, Eric goes to see Nora and tells her that this isn’t her and this is insane. He tells her that Salome chose this path for her and that Lilith doesn’t exist. He tells her that Godric appeared to him and their feeding frenzy sickened him. She tells him that Godric was a blaphemer who Lilith would’ve staked herself. Eric grabs her by the throat and lets her go. She tells him that Lilith will show him the way.
At Sam’s, he’s nursing Luna back to health. She’s still skinwalking as him and this is weird. He leans down to kiss her on the forehead and she shifts back to herself and throws up.
Pam tells Tara that they need to talk. She leads her to the dungeon where her former schoolmate is chained up. Pam glamours the girl into listening to Tara and allowing her to feed on her. She tells her that she only exists as nourishment for Tara. The woman starts begging Tara to feed on her and she starts chowing down.
In a field, J.D. catches the track star and he and Alcide start fighting again. J.D. gets the better of him and holds up a rock over his head. Martha and the pack get him to stop, but he tells Alcide to find himself a new pack.
At Arlene’s, Terry and Patrick rushing in to Holly, Lafayette and Arlene, who want to help him break the curse. They all sit down to the table and they want to end it. Lafayette tells them that he’s there to make contact with the woman’s spirit to break the curse. He starts putting on a show, but it gets real. He tells them that the woman is talking to him and she’s mad. He tells them that the woman will lift the curse if …and then she jumps into Lafayette’s body. She jumps out and Lafayette tells Terry that he has to kill Patrick or vice versa.
On the side of the road, Hoyt is walking down the street. He’s happy to see a friendly face, but the person in the truck pulls a gun on him.
At Sookie’s house, she sees a vision of the vampire, who tells her that he’s coming for her and that she is his.
At the Authority headquarters, Salome is trying to hatch a plan to crush the mainstreamers. Russell and Steve are flirting. They are talking about how to get rid of the mainstreamers and Bill suggests that they attack the five True Blood factories. That would force the mainstreamers to feed off of humans or die.
