Episode synopsis:
“With vampire-on-human attacks increasing, The Authority attempts to woo public favor; Bill puts a spin on the rising vampire violence; Nora tries to convert Eric to Lilith’s gospel; Jason finds a mysterious scroll; Elijah, the new vampire sheriff of Area 5, pushes Pam and Tara to obey a new mandate; Sam and Luna search for Emma; Russell seeks a higher calling.”

RECAP:
The show opens with a newscast over the Tru Blood factories being burned down. There is a fifty percent spike in vampire attacks. Steve Newlin is giving a press conference stating that people shouldn’t worry and should go about their business. Sookie turns off the television and Mike is at her door. She invites him in and he bears his fangs. She shoots him and he bites into her. She stakes him with chopsticks and that’s the end of Mike.
At the authority headquarters, Salome and Bill are offering Molly the opportunity to follow Lilith. She tells them that they’re not evolved. Bill turns her iStake on and kills Molly. Steve Newlin praises the killing of a vampire. Russell Edgington wants to feed and he leaves with Steve.
Hoyt and his mother are driving along when his mom says she had to stand over his hospital bed to keep that “cheeto-headed tramp” away from him. Hoyt is talking about leaving Bon Temps for Alaska.
At Fangtasia, Pam and Tara are talking to the new sheriff of area five. He suggests that they open up a biting booth. He tells them that the Authority requires thirty new baby vampires by the end of the year or he’s going to seize all of her assets and her progeny.
At the Authority, Bill is taking the vial of Lilith’s blood to get a sample. They bring Eric in and put him on his knees. Bill tells him that the true death will come for all non-believers. He tells them to let it come. He takes out the blood of Lilith and Bill and Nora force the blood on him. Nora takes a drop of the blood and tells him they will “meet her together.”
Instead of Lilith, Godric appears to Eric and Nora. Godric tells Nora that Lilith is a godless god. He tells her that he has evolved. Eric tells Godric that Nora is lost. Lilith appears behind Godric and embraces him. Eric yells to fight Lilith. She rips him to pieces and she stands there with blood all over her. Looking on, Bill smiles.
Russell and Steve are dancing after eating some Greek. Russell tells Steve that they can walk in the sun and there is a way. They embrace more while dancing.
At Merlotte’s, Lafayette pulls a gun on a vampire hater with Jessica there. Sam offers up the human to her. She tells the guy that she’ll pass. They run out of the bar with their french fries and run into Jason. He goes to talk to Jessica. He tells her that he’s meeting someone and she is there for the same reason. It’s Hoyt!
At Fangtasia, Tara and Pam are talking about Elijah’s demands of them to create progeny. She tells Tara that they don’t need the bar and that it’s just four walls.
Hoyt tells Jason and Jessica of his plans to leave Bon Temps for Alaska. They try to convince him to stay, but he says that his mother smothers him and his girlfriend left him for his best friend. He’s leaving tomorrow and he just wants them to be happy for him. For his going away present, he asks her to glamour him because he wants to forget about her. He says that he wants Jason out of his head, too, and it’s the last thing he’ll ever ask of her. He begs her to glamour him because he’s hurting. She looks into his eyes and tells him how much of a great man he is and that he is her first love. She tells him that he’s going to go to Alaska and start a whole new life. She tells him that he’s going to make some girl the happiest girl in the world and she’ll be so lucky and will be his first love. She tells him that he’s going to close his eyes and they will be gone and then he’s going to order himself a burger and not have a care in the world. Jason tells him he loves him and gets up to leave. He opens his eyes asks for a waitress.
Sookie and Jason are talking about what Gran told her about “sleeping on it”. He’s checking in the floorboard and lifts it up to find a box. There is a scroll inside. Sookie opens it to find some strange writing.
Sam is calling the AVL for Steve Newlin so that he can try to get Emma back. Luna is freaking out trying to figure out what to do to get her daughter back. He shows her a newscast on the internet about a showdown between a congressman and Steve Newlin. They’re heading to New Orleans for the meeting.
Sookie and Jason talk to a guy about the strange writing on the letter. He tells them that it’s not a human language. At Merlotte’s, Holly gives Andy a kiss and treats him to dinner. Lafayette prepared a nice dinner for them, along with dessert.
At Jessica’s, she is remembering all of her times with Hoyt. She goes to the door and the Authority members are gathering up Jessica. Bill is on the phone and he commands her to go with his security team.
Steve Newlin is trying to pass off the Tru Blood factory’s destruction as terrorism. He says that humans murder way more than vampires do. Steve says that he’s offended by the allegations that the vampires are going to be feeding off of humans.
Bill brings Eric in to the Authority where he begs them for forgiveness. He says Lilith came to him and destroyed his maker and he was worshiping a false god. He kneels down to Russell and thanks him for his mercy. Eric forgives Russell for his sins against his mortal family. He offers them to lay down their swords against one another. Eric kisses Russell’s ring.
At the news station, Luna and Sam shift from mice into themselves to try and check Steve’s phone. He walks in and grabs his bag. Are they in the bag?
Jason is with Sookie in his patrol car when they pull over Hoyt. Hoyt asks Jason if he’s a Stackhouse and if he’s related to Sookie. Hoyt says that he’s moving to Alaska. Jason asks him to not leave Bon Temps and Hoyt asks if his mother put him up to this? Hoyt is really okay with leaving and not knowing Jason. He lets him go on his way. Awwwwwwww. Jason goes back to the car and breaks down crying.
At the Authority HQ, Jessica is mad that she was brought there. He wanted to keep her out of it, but it’s dangerous in Bon Temps. She asks if they’re at the AVL. He shows her around the place. He tells her that he might’ve been chosen by god. He gives her the vampire bible to read. He tells her that he, she and Eric were meant to lead their kind into the coming age.
Elijah comes to see Tara who is frantic about killing a human. It’s Ginger! Ginger stakes Elijah and Tara cuts his head off. She tells Pam that they’re not running — NOT in their house.
Steve is yelling at Emma for changing back into her human form. She wants her mother, but he tells her that her mother doesn’t want her. The other AVL members are discussing education reform. Russell tells them that the blood of the fae allows them to day walk. They want to synthesize the blood of fairies. Salome tells them that fairies are an abomination. He wants to stuff some fairy blood in her pie hole. She challenges him and he throws her to the ground. He is going crazy and wants to have the sun. He tells them that he will not be constrained by their god. He leaves.
Sookie and Jason bring the letter to the fairy club for Claude to try to read. He says that the letter is probably older than they are. Morella comes to them to check out the document. Morella is pregnant! Is it Andy’s?!??? She waves a hand over the letter and pulls something from it. She reads the letter from John Williams Stackhouse. He offered up her first female heir to Warlow. The first female fairy in the Stackhouse family after 1702 was Sookie.
