The winter finale of Jaime Pressly’s new comedy, I Hate My Teenage Daughter is here and we’ll be covering the show live! Tonight’s episode is titled, Teenage Dating — and it promises to be a good one! In case you’ve missed last week’s show, you can check out our recap of that here.
Episode Synopsis:
Annie reluctantly agrees to let Sophie start dating a sixteen-year-old boy and is pleasantly surprised when she sees the positive influence he has over her, until he reveals a little surprise of his own. Meanwhile, Jack agrees to help Mackenzie on a school report about the court system and, in return, gets makeover advice from both Nikki and Mackenzie when they decide he needs a little “flash” and “pop” in order to win a court case he’s worried about.

RECAP:
Annie is cooking in her kitchen when Nikki walks in. The teenagers also walk in and they are complimenting Annie. They must want something. Sophie brings a letter that Annie signed off on last year saying that she can start to date when she is 15. She is only a month away. Annie tells her no way. Sophie tells her a boy at school asked her out adn he is 16 and he drives. Annie is like NO WAY FOR SURE! Mckenzie tells Annie that Nikki let her date a sixteen year old. Nikki talks to Annie about the date and tells her to have the boy over for a study date. Annie agrees to have the boy come to the house to meet him first for study date.
Hunter comes to the house and introduces himself to Annie. He seems not too bad. They start to study and she realizes that he is really smart and she can’t believe since he seems like a hood. He tells her he is only growing his hair out for locks for love, a cancer group that makes wigs for them. Annie likes this boy. He is a good example to Sophie.
McKenzie walks in the diner and she needs legal information on a school assignment. Jack is there and offers to take her to court with him so she can get the info she needs for class. Jack gets started with Mckenzie and her paper. Nikki asks Annie about Sophie’s boyfriend. She tells Nikki that she likes the kid. Sophie comes in to tell her she is going to the library with Hunter and she will be home at 6:30 and then asks if Hunter can come for dinner. Annie is thrilled.
Nikki and Mckenzie were supposed to wait for after the case was dismissed but they were so bored with Jack’s work that they left early because they had nothing to say. Jack finds them at home and asks them for help. His jury does not like him. The other attorney is a looker and is killing Jack in the court room. She sends him to her beauty specialist
Annie comes home to find Hunter and Sophie doing homework and there is a little boy there with them. She figures it’s his little brother and finds out that it’s Hunter’s son. Annie makes Nikki come over. She than throws Hunter out because she is not happy about him having a baby.
Annie and Sophie are talking about the Hunter situation. Sophie is mad at Annie. Annie tries to explain to Sophie why she doesn’t want her to date him. Sophie does not want Annie to judge Hunter. He knows what he did was wrong by getting a girl pregnant and he is afraid of sex and babies. Annie finally agrees to let Sophie date Hunter.
Jack comes into the diner and asks Annie if he has flash and the look. He is not connecting to the jury and the other attorney is still killing him. Annie makes him feel better by telling him that is the real deal and doesn’t need flash to do his job. Sophie comes in and asks Annie if she can watch Hunter’s son while they go to a movie. Annie tells her absolutely not! They will have to figure it out on their own.
Annie goes to see Nikki, but her door is locked. She’s got a man in the house and says that he’s very hungry. As it turns out, she’s babysitting Owen. She said that she couldn’t say no to Sophie and Hunter and didn’t mean to go behind Annie’s back.
Annie holds Owen and starts to warm up to him and talking in a baby voice to him. She decides to try and take him home with her, but Nikki says no and that she had her chance. Annie stays there to help watch Owen. They reminisce about their kids when they were babies and take turns holding Owen. Nikki says that she wants to have another baby.
Mackenzie comes downstairs as Nikki is telling Annie about babies being little miracles. She starts yelling at her mother. Then, she tells Annie to take the baby.
Sophie comes into the diner later, dressed provocatively and says that she and Hunter broke up. Hunter told her that his life is all about the baby now. Sophie tells her mother to tell her the whole “I told you so” thing, but Annie says no and that she’s sorry for how it worked out.
Just then, Jack comes in wearing a suit with some salt and pepper hair. He got some “flash and pop”. He tells Annie and Nikki that he won his case, but Annie tells him that he lost something else.
