Tonight the cast from I Hate My Teenage Daughter is back again for episode 3 airing at 9:30pm tonight! Looks like the daughter’s are in for a father/daughter dance.
Annie (Jaime Pressly) is going to have to do damage control when Matt (Eic Sheffer Stevens), Sohpie’s dad decides to do his usual bail routine for the dance so she asks Jack (Kevin Rahn), Matt’s brother, to be on stand-by when Matt screws up. Will Sophie (Kristie Lauren) be ok with Jack escorting her to the dane?
Mackenzie (Aisha Dee) is worried the her mother Nikki (Katie Finneran) will show up at the dance and make a complete fool of herself and embarass her. Her father Gary (Chad Coleman) takes his lovely duaghter to the dance.
Show Synopsis:
As the girls prepare for a father-daughter dance, Annie and Jack suspect Matt will bail on Sophie – as usual. So Jack is on stand-by with his tuxedo. Meanwhile, Mackenzie doesn’t want Nikki to attend the dance and embarrass her. But it’s Gary who ends up being the center of attention in the all-new “Teenage Cotillion”

RECAP:
This evening we begin with Annie and Nikki looking at dresses with Sophie and Mackenzie for their father/daughter dance. Annie and Nikki are talking about all their dances in school. Annie never went to any dances at her school. They are using reverse psychology.
Back at the diner Jack walks in and Annie pours coffee for him. Jack tells Annie he has his Tux ready for the dance since Matt is going to screw this up and not show for it. Matt comes in and tells Annie he is going to be around more and he will take Sophie to the dance. He is mad because the school doesn’t know who he is.
Gary and Nikki are talking about Mackenzie and her dress. She comes down in the dress and of course she doesn’t want Nikki to go to the dance because she will only make a fool of herself. Gary scolds her for being mean to Nikki. Gary talks to Nikki and tells her she is embarrassing.
Annie is at home and Sophie and Matt come in from dance lessons. Sophie comes in upset and Matt tells Annie that Sophie is mad cause she can’t get the dance moves right. Matt is actually paying more attention to Sophie which is a new one of course. Annie is taken aback!
At the diner Annie is talking to Nikki about going to dinner with Matt and Sophie. She tells Nikki that Matt and her watched a movie and drank a bottle of wine. Annie says she would never hook up with Matt.
At home Jack shows up just in case Matt hasn’t shown up. Annie tells Jack that Matt is here. Jack is a bit a jealous. Annie and Jack are totally surprised. Sophie is happy to see Jack and she is glad that he is there. Jack hugs Sophie and leaves.
At the dance Matt tells Annie that she looks nice tonight. He is acting like a real gentlemen. She tells him that she is glad that he has come thru for Sophie. Gary and Nikki are dancing and Gary tries to hide her because she is embarrassing, as usual. Nikki feels terrible. Nikki starts to have a break down and he takes her outside. Matt goes up to get drinks for him and Annie. The bartender recognizes Matt from his band. The bartender goes to see Matt’s band all the time. Matt goes out to smoke pot with the bartender.
When the father/daughter dance goes to start they can’t find Matt anywhere. Annie tries to stall the band while Nikki looks for Matt. Annie tries to stall since Nikki can’t find Matt at all.
And so Annie starts singing and they kick her off the stage. Annie tells Sophie that they can’t find Matt and that’s why she was stalling. Meanwhile Gary and Mackenzie are dancing and Gary gets emotional and starts to cry. Mackenzie is mortified.
Annie is at home when Matt walks in! Annie is pissed. Matt tells Annie that he went to check out a guitar in some dude’s van. Annie flips out and starts to yell at Matt. She tells him that it’s going to Sophie a long time to get over it. Sophie walks into the kitchen and she is not that upset. Matt apologizes to Sophie. She tells him that, “hey it’s no big deal she didn’t expect him to go anyway, she knows he tried. ” Matt would have rather been yelled at.
Matt meets Jack up and he tells Jack what happened at the party. He wants Jack to fix the problem. Jack scolds Matt for being so foolish and he keeps throwing away his daughter and their time together. Jack advises him to try not to be the worst father there ever was. Matt just doesn’t get it.
Nikki tries to calm Gary down after the dance. She tells Gary to leave and Mackenzie comes out of the closet.
Afterward, Matt is waiting back at the house for Annie and Sophie after Jack takes them out for dinner. They come back and he’s waiting inside with a tux on. He tells Sophie that he owes her a dance. They start dancing and Gary comes in and sees them dancing and starts crying all over again.
