Tonight is episode 7, season 3 of Vampire Diaries and there is a lot of exciting happenings going on during the Night Of Illumination. We are looking forward to Damons surprise ghostly visitor as well as how Elena intends to get Stefan back.
Tonight’s synopsis:
As Mystic Falls prepares to celebrate the traditional Illumination Night, the town is invaded by spirits of the dead. After a particularly violent encounter with an angry spirit, Damon asks Bonnie to find the reason behind the ghosts’ surprising power. Elena convinces Jeremy to use his connection to the other side to help her find a new way to reach Stefan, leading Jeremy to a terrible choice. Finally, Alaric discovers a long-hidden clue to the past.
This evenings epsiode begins with Damon being chained up in his own house by Mason Lockwood. Damon thinks that Stefan is responsible for this. He can’t see Mason although Mason is looking for revenge.
The town is amyst of “The Night Of Illumination” , decorating and listening to history. Alaric and Jeremy are hanging out watching the history speaker and Anna has decided to join in. Damon pulls up to Bonnie and tells her there is a ghost problem and he is being harrassed by Mason Lockwood.
Later Elena, Jeremy and Alaric at lunch talking about the dead and reaching Anna to ask her some quesitons.
Bonnie and Caroline are walking back home when Bonnie drops her bad. Her magic book falls out and opens on it own to a page to help her with the ghost thing.
Back at lunch Stefan decides to join Elena and Alaric. Stefan is trying to make Elena accept the fact that the can’t be together and she should move on and forget about him.
Bonnie and Caroline go back to the spot where Bonnie brought Jermey back to life to cast a spell about the walking dead.
Jeremy has a talk with Anna about why she is here and why she is haunting him. They both find out that they have feelings deeper than they thought for each other.
Bonnie starts to cast the spell and a strong wind hits the room. Bonnie’s grandmother makes a surprise visit and everyone can see her.
Alaric and Damon are fighting in the bar when Damon tells Alaric about Mason Lockwood raising from the dead.
The dead have not onlu come back from the dead but everyone can now see them as well. It appears that Bonnie’s spell backfired and didn’t send the ghosts back to their graves. Instead it brought them back to the consious world!
Stefan sees his long lost bestfriend Lexy. She is back from the dead and she wants to get Stefan back on the straight and narrow.
Bonnie is so excited to see her grandmother. Bonnie’s grandmother scolds her about opening the door to the dead. Once she sent Vicky back it opened the door wide so they can all get out. Bonnie needs to close the door.
Jeremy opens up to Elena about Anna and his relationship with her.
Lexy finds Elena and tell her she is going to help her fix Stefan.
Mason shows up at the bar with Alaric and Damon. They are all sitting there drinking and talking about Klaus. He wants Damon to apologize and he will tell him how to kill Klaus. He tells them to meet him at the Lockwood cellar.
Lexy has Stefan chained up and is trying to fix him of his blood lust. Elena is determined to bring Stefan back. Lexy is torturing Stefan but she means well. She care about Stefan and she wants him to be his old self again.
Mason and Damon are at the Lockwood cellar. They are looking for a weapon that will kill an original vampire. They break open a wall and find a tunnel. They follow the tunnel.
Stefan is freaking out because he needs blood, bad! Elena feels horrible but she needs get Stefan right again.
Caroline calls Elena to find out what’s going on and Elena tells her that she wants Bonnie to hold off on sending the ghosts back because Lexy is helping to fix Stefan. Caroline gets off the phone and tells Bonnie the truth about Jeremy and Anna. Bonnie is crushed.
The evening of illumination is on and the town is celebrating by having a festival. The troubled ghost from Anna’s past are showing at this event and causing trouble and killing the founding family members.
Stefan is in total pain from not getting any blood. Lexy tells Elena she has to stay strong because he is going ro fool her. Lexy continues to torture him until he is ready to be saved. Elena runs out. She can’t take the sight of it.
She gets outside and realizes something is going on in the center of town at the festival.
Bonnie and Caroline are still searching for a necklace that will help they send the ghost back. They think that Anna stole the necklace. Of course Jeremy does not believe that.
Back in the tunnel with Damon and Mason they are still trying to find this weapon. Damon walks into a trap. He gets stabbed with wooded sicks.
Jeremy tells Elena that he is in love with Anna. Elena tries to talk sense into him. Anna is a ghost and will never be alive again. He needs to move on and Anna realizes that when Elena confronts them both. She needs to go now. Anna did steal the necklace. She gives it to Jeremy so he can give it to Bonnie to send her and the others back to the world of dead.
Mason helps Damon get out of the trap. He saves Damon and he still can’t trust him. Mason wants to help his nephew.
Bonnie and Caroline are driving thru town to get the necklace when Caroline sees the troubled souls that are looking to kill the founders.
Jeremy and Anna have a heart to heart before she moves on. She tells Jeremy she doesn’t want to be alone anymore but she can’t find her mother.
Lexy is trying to break thru to Stefan. She tells Stefan to dig down deep in his soul to find peace and who he really is.
Damon and Mason are still trying to look for this weapon that will kill the originals.
Jeremy goes to Bonnie to give her the necklace. She starts to cast her spell to send the dead back the underworld, along with her grandmother.
Caroline saves the rest of the founders by kicking butt when they all disappear. The spell worked.
Lexy must go but Elena needs to keep trying to break thru to Stefan. She can’t give up! Lexy pleads as she leaves keep working at him. He will come back.
Anna finds her mother and goes to be at peace with her. She will never be alone again!
Bonnie’s grandmother leaves Bonnie standing there alone after the spell is complete.
Damon calls Alaric to help him since get this weapon. Damon apologizes to Alaric for killing him before. Alaric manages to find it in his heart to forgive Damon.
Elena stands there with Stefan. She leaves him in the chair locked up to dry out. She tells him she still has hope and feels like he will make it. But she tells him he must remember who he really is because she will let go and move on at some point.
Jeremy and Bonnie have a discussion about his feeling for Anna. Bonnie is very hurt emotionally and she tells him to leave. She wants to be alone.
Alaric finds writing on the tunnel wall but he is not sure what it is. Damon wonders how this is supposed to kill the orignals?
