Tonight’s episode of “American Horror Story” should prove to be a real treat tonight since the Harmon’s will be celebrating Halloween. As we know the house has it’s own personal character, to say the least, and tonight the Harmon’s are visited by two more special guests; the most recently deceased last owners of the home.
Hopefully tonight some more of the house’s mysteries and the Harmon’s deepest secrets will be uncovered with Halloween being the one day of the year that the spirit world and our world meet. Well we will just have to wait for the show tonight to answer some of our most wanted questions, so join us later as we recap the show live.
This evenings episode starts in the year 2010. Two men in the kitchen of the house. Lovers. The previous owners. The one leaves for the gym and the other stays in the kitchen preparing for a Halloween party at the house. They begin to argue about the one mans infidelity with his trainer at the gym. They realize that their love is no more and the relationship is going sour but they still care for one another. The one man leaves. The other begins to stew about the argument when the man in the leather outfit shows up in the dining room. He approaches the other man and beats and drowns him in the bucket of water for the apple dunking contest. His lover walks in to see the man in leather that just killed his boyfriend.
Back in the present the Harmon’s are meeting with the realtor and they are upset that there has only been one person to come and look at the house. The realtor suggests having a few fluffers hired to help decorate the house in order to get more people to come look at the house. She asks Ben, played by Dylan McDermott, about the egging last night. It was the twin boys that came and egged the house. They decide to have the fluffers hired.
Adalade is being read to by the young man, Travis, that Constance, played by Jessica Lange, has been banging. Constance sends him to the store, because she is upset that Adalade is trying to put the make on her boyfriend. Adalade tells Constance what she wants to be for Halloween. A pretty girl!
Larry, played by Denis O’Hare, shows up at the house and ring the door bell. Ben answers the door. Larry is trick-or-treating for his $1000.00. They begin to argue because Ben doesn’t want to pay him. Ben throws him out. Larry tells him he has patience but he won’t wait forever.
Ben meets with Tate, played by Evan Peters, at the house. Ben questions Tate about why he was in the house at the time of the break in. Ben tells Tate that he can’t see him as a patient any more. Tate is distraught. He offers to see Tate else where and not at the house.
Vivian, played by Connie Britton, has a police officer at the house setting up the alarm system so she can feel safer.
Moira, played by Frances Conroy asks for Halloween off so she can go see her mother. Vivian agrees. Vivian heads outside to put the pumpkin out on the porch and runs into two men standing outside the house. They introduce themselves Patrick and Chad.
Vivian invites these gentlemen into the house thinking they are the realtors fluffers. Ben, Vivian, Chad and Patrick are all in the kitchen. Vivian is asking them for more advice about decorating. They suggest that the gazebo needs to be taken down. Ben cuts his finger. Patrick is an EMT and takes Ben to the bathroom to help him clean up his finger. While int he bathroom Patrick hits on Ben. Mean while in the kitchen Chad is giving Vivian more than decorating advice. He tells her how to check up on Ben.
Adalade is in the house again and scares Violet. Adalade asks Violet to make her pretty like her. Violet tells Adalade that she needs to stop breaking in the house.
Adalade goes home and Constance has a total fit! She chases Adalade around the house telling her to clean her face.
Violet goes to the basement to meet Tate and he is dressed in the leather outfit and scares Violet. He kisses her. He tells Violet he can tell her what the history is of the house. Charles Montgomery built the house and he was a doctor, but really a scientist. His wife being a money monger was selling him out as an abortion expert because they couldn’t pay their bills. Girls would come from the area to abort their babies. A girl that the doctor seen told her boyfriend of what happened and he was upset. The boyfriend stole the doctor and his wife’s baby. They received their child back in pieces dead at the door in a box. The doctor took the parts and put them back together to cheat death for their child. What was constructed was a sort of Frankenstein (see above photo). Violet laughs at Tate and tells him he is full of crap. After the story Violet takes Tate back to her room.
Ben is at a park to meet Tate for his session. Ben has picked up smoking. Ben and Tate start to talk about Violet and it leads into a conversation about what Ben was like as a kid. Ben breaks down talking to Tate. He is very emotional.
Constance goes to Adalade’s room to get her for trick-or-treating. Adalade tells her she doesn’t want to go. Constance shows her that she bought a mask for Adalade so she could be a pretty girl for the day. They are off to find something for her to wear so she will be beautiful!
Vivian and Ben are at the house dressed up for Halloween. Vivian asks Ben about Hayden. She read through the phone bills and saw Hayden’s number more than 20 times. Ben tells Vivian she has nothing to worry about that he told Hayden to leave him alone and never call back. He sweet talks Vivian into his crap. His cell rings and it’s Hayden’s phone number. She walks away mad from him and goes out to the front parlor room where Chad has decorated for candy giving. Chad flips out because he does not think the decorations or their costumes are good enough. Chad is a total perfectionist. They all start to argue! Vivian throws Chad and Patrick out of the house. Vivian than tells Ben that she doesn’t believe him any more about Hayden and she wants him to leave. All of a sudden Vivian starts cramping and she in a lot of pain. Ben fears for the baby and rushes her to the hospital and before they leave he tells Violet to stay at the house and don’t answer the door.
Violet is at the house alone laying on her bed, She does not hear the door bell ringing. Adalade comes up to the door and rings, Violet left the candy bowl outside so everyone could get their own candy. Some other girls come up and make fun of Adalade. She runs after the girls and into the street and gets hit by a car.
At the hospital Ben and Vivian are getting an ultrasound when the nurse passes out after looking at the screen and advising that the baby is bigger than she should be.
Constance runs out to Adalade laying in the street with the EMT’s. She takes Adalade home and won’t let the EMT’s work on her. Constance breaks down because her daughter is dead.
Moira goes to a nursing home to see her mother. Her mother is on life support. Moira breaks down at her mother’s bedside about how guilty she feels about not being there for her mother. She removes the life support so her mother will die and be at peace. Her mother shows up behind her because she is dead now. Her mother wants her to go with her but Moira can’t. She is cursed to stay in this world.
Back at the house Larry is at the house banging at the door and Violet has no idea whi is this guy is and won’t open the door. Violet calls Ben at the hospital and tells him about Larry. Ben tells her to stay in the house don’t open the door. From behind you can see the man in leather. Ben and Vivian get home and can’t find Violet and the house is open and the alarm is going off. The front door bell rings. Ben answers it thinking it’s Violet. Surprise! It’s Hayden back from the dead!
