Wrigleys pulls gum ad over Chris Brown kerfuffle

Last night Chris Brown and Rihanna pulled out of their Grammy performances at the last minute.  The reason?  It was alleged that he hit her after their appearance at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party.

Apparently, Chris had his eyes on the other ladies in attendance.  Rihanna didn’t like it, so it started a fight.  Rihanna ended up being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was released.

Chris Brown was held on $50,000 bail until paying up and was released.  Some mainstream media outlets reported that the couple were in a car accident, thus the reason for Rihanna’s bruising.

Now, Wrigley’s has pulled their ad starring Chris Brown due to his public image.

A head honcho at Wrigley’s released this stagement:

“We are concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown.  We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen.  However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved.”

Chris is due in court on March 5th to face the charges.
