Here’s a victory of a different sort for Olympic gold medalist, Michael Phelps.
Apparently, the golden boy won’t be charged for toking off of that bong in the pot scandal of 2009, thus hereforth referred to as “Bong-Gate ’09″.
In connection with providing him the weed that he smoked in the now infamous photo, 8 others have been clipped by the cops for distribution and other assorted offenses.
Real nice that him smoking pot nets the cops 8 drug busts, but none of the arrested include Phelps. He started it. He broke the law, and there’s photographic evidence. Yet no one does anything to him about it.
I just don’t get it. I’m not a drug nazi and I don’t believe that anyone should suffer for drug-related crimes, unless they’re trying to sell crack to kids, but good lord, 8 other people were busted. What the crap.
