Colin Firth hates Christmas

posted by roberta — Dec 26th, 2009

Colin Firth says that he hates the Christmas holidays so much that he has to turn off the radio during the month of December to get away from all of the Christmas music.

He said, “I have a profound loathing of Christmas – it’s sad really. At this time of year, I am careful not to switch on the radio because those novelty jingles make me homicidal and plunge me into the heart of Scrooge territory. I think Christmas turns us all into Scrooge. Everyone is trying to throw happy stuff at you, and that’s when I come over all humbug.”

It’s all good, I can’t stand the radio either. It’s all really very commercial anymore. Why not try being nice to each other every day out of the year instead of spreading the joy for just one day?
